Ghost story collection…by Chris Wilson

ghosts-and-paranormalGhost stories have always been a popular throughout the ages with readers as traditionally they often allow the reader to enjoy the thrill of a good paranormal story without actually coming face to face with the experience itself. Times have changed though, as has the perception of the paranormal, so now a rich pool of ideas and potential stories lie before the reader’s eyes or at the tip of a writer’s pen.

For sceptics of such a genre though most stories are simply a unending chain of rattling chains, moans, white ladies, black monks, and any number of other  traditional occurrences so this is my chance to change such a false impression, and maybe even convert some of you sceptics to my cause. What I offer you are ghost and paranormal stories with a difference, and ones where various spectral characters have a real identity, to the point where they seem to come alive.

Title Synopsis
The Ghost Tour A ghost tour guide yearns for warmth, love and affection, and even a ghost or two, but no-one seems to be at hand. Two people do care for her though, and they are watching her, yet why does she barely sees them, and why can’t the tour party see them at all
The Ferryman Two men meet and talk on an I.O.M cliff top, but who is alive, who is dead, what is the bundle laying close to the shore. A Ghost Story and a slice of Manx history all rolled into one
A Nice Day for a Funeral Two people meet at a young child’s funeral, but why are they there, who are they waiting for, and what kind of future are the three of them going to behold. A bitter sweet, but gently reflective ghost story with a subtly unfolding plot line right up until the end
Stepping Stones  Edward Carson of No 18 Violet road, Nottingham, sits on a train from London to Nottingham, which is puzzles him as he recalls being impaled by a scafolding pole, yet is he dead, is he alive, or are the events that follow simply a dream
The One Way Ticket  Harry and Harriet are different, but what is the treat that she has in store for him, and what does he think as he lies by her side

This is a very dark story with adult scenes and story lines. Therefore, those readers who are under 18, or of a sensitive disposition should be warned
