Man is the only animal who refuses to be what he is
Albert Camus 1913-1960
Why do we say that we are different to all other life about us?
Why do we claim to be special, and to have powers within us that no one else possesses.?
Why can we not accept that we are animals, and, as the quote above reminds us. Why can we not truly accept who we are?
Four short questions, yet four short questions which have bedeviled us throughout our evolutionary development, and still bedevil us today.
This may seem a strange and controversial post to put in so early, but it is an essential part of what is to come, especially in this blog category. Why so, well look at the example below
A child is colouring in a picture of a dinosaur, and he is colouring it’s body bright purple. As an adult you ask the child why is the dinosaur purple. He replies
“Cos I want it to be purple”
Immature child, you think you yourself, and you quietly walk away. Yet are we not as immature as the child when we look at our place in the world as a species, and do we not demonstrate, all too often a similar state of denial?
All I would say to you is this. Think about who you are, think about how other animals and people really view you, and finally think about how you react to life’s many stresses and strains
Over to you folks, happy thinking, I would love to hear your comments and views!
